Ami Paris / SS20

Born in 1980, Alexandre Mattiussi studied at Duperré fashion design school in Paris, specialising in menswear design. After working on Dior’s’ 30 Montaigne’ men’s line, he joined Givenchy as first menswear assistant, where he honed his knowledge of men’s tailoring forover five years. Subsequently, Mattiussi worked on Marc Jacobs Men, travelling between Paris, Milan and NewYork. After these formative experiences and thanks to many inspiring people he met a long the way, the 30-year-old designer launched his own brandin 2011: AMI.

Ami the history.

Born in Paris in 2011, inspired by Paris ever since AMI offers stylish and comprehensive wardrobes for men and women, blurring the boundaries between casual and chic. The name AMI, the French word for friend, plays with the initials of Alexandre Mattiussi, its founder and creative director. AMI captures a particular type of the French capital’s nonchalance, one that is young, cool and carefree. Standing for a relaxed, authentic and friendly approach to fashion, AMI now has 8 stores in Paris, Tokyo, London, mainland China and HongKong, as well as over 350 points of sale worldwide.
